Suffs tells the riveting story of the women who fought for the right to vote — from the 1913 March on Washington to the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920. These were determined, courageous women who organized, marched, endured arrest and hunger strikes, and refused to be silenced.
And what makes this musical especially powerful? It doesn’t just celebrate a victory from long ago. It reminds us that while progress was made, the work of equality is never completely finished.
