Mountain Memories – September 8

Begin the day with a visit to the Flight 93 National Monument.  Visit the Museum and stroll through the memorial plaza.  Visit the Tower of Voices.  The 93 foot tall Wind Chime holds 40 individual chimes, each representing one of the victims.   A visit to the Mountain Craft Days at the Somerset Heritage Festival will give everyone time to visit and shop with local craftsmen and enjoy a home cooked lunch and maybe an apple dumpling.  Finally we will stop at the QueCreek Memorial Site and hear the story of the rescued miners.  Bus leaves at 7:45 am from the Greengate Walmart and 8:00 am from Walmart North Huntingdon.  Moderate Walking.
