Seeing NYC through the eyes of my children was like experiencing my first trip to NYC all over again. I was around 6 years old (the same as my son) the first time I went to NYC and I remember how dirty and scary it was at that time. It wasn’t the same NYC we all know and love today. However, I also remember how exciting it all was – the noises, the broadway lights and especially the sparkly silver shoes my parents bought me. I loved those shoes! The first time I went on a bus trip was one my mom organized for the high school kids when I was 9 years old (I won’t tell you how long ago that was!!!). All of these years later, my mom has continued to perfect the group experience. She goes out of her way, and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy and does whatever she can to ensure everyone has an easy, carefree trip. She’s been taking bus and personal trips to NYC for so long (ok, I’ll tell you, that bus trip we first took when I was 9 was 24 years ago!!), she knows the “ins” and “outs” of the city. She knows what shows are best, where to go for the best tours, etc. and she’ll share it all with you. I’m so lucky to have been included in so many of these trips since I was a little girl and they were a staple of my childhood – from 9 years old through college. I’ve had the best times of my life on her bus trips. Now, experiencing it all over again with my kids touched me in a way that I can’t even explain. To see the looks on their faces when we pulled into Times Square was priceless. I’ll never forget this trip and I have Norwin Express to thank for it!
